We had another ultrasound this week to check the very, very minimal previa, which is still there. But at this ultrasound, we got these cool 4d pictures of the kid. Kind of creepy that they can do this right. Plus they really should warn you before they switch from the usual ultrasound viewing to this. One second we're looking at the static outline of the baby, and the next thing we now we're seeing a face. Everything looks good with the baby. He's was 3lbs 2 oz when they did the ultrasound, so even though I'm still not gaining weight, he definitely is. It looks like we'll be doing another ultrasound next month sometime to check the previa again. Mine is very minimal, and is only a concern at this point once I begin labor and dilation of the cervix starts. So we're still waiting it out, and they may not be able to identify if a c section is necessary until I'm actually in labor.
Speaking of labor, Matthew and I finished the childbirth classes. Matthew made it through, although I'm not sure the class facilitator would agree that he's ready for being a labor coach. She actually suggested I get a backup coach. Too bad my backup plan moved to California. I'm not worried though, after seeing those videos of labor coaches asking stupid questions, and rubbing arms or backs when the lady obviously just wanted him to back off, and seriously when is it ever a good idea to say "wow, that was a big one wasn't it". So, I'm thinking I may prefer him passed out on the floor at some point. Although I know him well enough to know that once it starts, he'll man up and forget about his issues with "seeing anything".
